Breath Capture

This is the craziest thing that I have ever seen! You actually capture your breath in this tube!

Everyone is born with it. A desire to be near the ones we care about most. And we find ways to remember them when they're away. A lock of hair. Letters. An old photo. And now there's Breath Capture™. Capture the breath of a loved one or friend and keep them close. Forever.

Roll Tide

I don't want to throw any of you for a loop out there, but I'm gonna talk about sports for a minute. Don't panic!

We are Alabama Crimson Tide fans here and while the elephant is the mascot, this elephant caught my eye. No, I don't have elephants all over my house... I just thought this was a good way to pay homage to our team in a non sports-designer kinda way.

Dolly Parton

Who doesn't like Dolly Parton?? Ok Ok I know that some of you don't, but don't tell me. I don't want to get my feelings hurt because I love her! I read her autobiography once while I was working at part time at a drug store. (we were never busy) I also have a Dolly Parton doll that was given to my grandfather one Christmas as a gag gift. Maybe it has something to do with living in the South.

Fried Marbles?

I have never heard of fried marbles. Found this at crafster. Apparently you heat the marbles in a frying pan for 20 minutes and then dump them in cold water. The marbles will crack on the inside only. Pretty neat!

Valentines Gift?

I thought this was unusual. You don't have very good odds...

Is it just me or does this remind you of Honeycomb cereal? tee heeI hope I am not disrespecting the artist, but it did make me laugh!

Rooster Plates

My grandmother had this set of dinnerware that had roosters on it. These plates remind me of her.

She read my mind!

Preppy Princess posted today about all the people that read her blog but do not post comments. It was like she was reading my mind! She blogged the words that I was afraid to say.I felt the same way!

When I first started this blog, it was kinda for myself. I didn't think that anyone was reading it.
But now, since I installed site meter I can see how many people visit and I do wish that more people would leave comments.

So please let me know if you like the things that I like or if I just have very bad taste. :0)

Decorating Ideas

Really love the collage images that are hung by string.

I love the grouping of of these mirrors and how they are different but work so well together.

I cant remember where this one came from, but I love the way they used the small silver trays in a grouping. They almost look like mirrors.

Blogging

I wish I could blog every day. I love it! It has become my obsession these days. Its like my outlet. To search the web for fabulous finds that I would never have the time to find anywhere else, and dream that one day I will have enough money to actually purchase some of these things that I love, find the time to actually do some of those cool DIY projects or ever have a awesome new house to decorate. Unfortunately I have a full time job, 4 kids and very little free time! The free time I do get, I have to choose between blogging, reading or watching adult programming (not kid shows) which I hardly ever get to do these days. So those few of you who do read my blog everyday, thank you for returning... and I hope to post more of "my favorite things" more often.

Happy Blogging!

Gorgeous Plates

I had previous posted that I wanted to start collecting Fiesta Ware, but now I have come across these gorgeous plates. I had been looking for these types of plates for years. The "deep dish" style. Maybe I will just have to have two sets of dishes. Has anyone out there come across these types of plate before?
