It is a touchy subject in many homes. But it really does keep the carpets and floors cleaner. Not to mention the germs that the kids can pick up when playing on the floor.
But on the other hand, sometimes I hate to take off my shoes at someone else's house. Especially if I haven't had a pedicure or if I was in a rush and put on mismatched or holey socks.
Remember the episode of Sex & the City when Carrie lost her shoes! That would be terrible!
